Dear Calvary,

Greetings of peace and Love,

We had the gathering of Pastors and the leaders for training. And the agenda of the gathering was to teach how they can take Gospel to the people. After the two days of training we divided the leaders into groups to go out for evangelism.

When I am having such trainings Robert is always there to facilitate the leaders.

THE BOREHOLE

Is very good and gives pure water and sweet and it has no problem.

THE VILLAGERS

As we said that the borehole is being used by eight villagers. The borehole is preaching the message. We have a team of ladies who preached the word of God at the borehole. people do see the hand of the Lord through our friends from USA. And it is giving more blessing to these eight villager in the way that some outbreaks like cholera have been reduced due to safe water that we are using.

CHALENGES

For the mean time we can say that we are a bit safe but still it is not satisfying us because it is occupied with a number of people. Therefore its our appeal that in future there should another borehole to add on this.

NB: Find attached pictures of how people are enjoying the water from the borehole of Lazo village, while the other if Pastor Robert is giving 3 bibles to pastor Navaya of Mozambie who is leading 16 churches in his area while the other photo is Navaya and his wife

Grace .

Thomas

Are you new to the area and looking for a church to attend on Easter Sunday? Have you lived here your whole life but haven’t been able to find a church family that you feel connected to? Are you embarking on a new relationship with God and looking for a church to help you in your newfound faith?

If any of these describe you, please come and visit us at Calvary Chapel of Southbury. We are having two special Easter services on Sunday, April 8 at 9:00 and 11:00 AM, as well as a Good Friday service on April 6 at 6:30 PM.

Calvary Chapel Southbury is not just a church, but a community of people helping one another through life’s ups and downs. We are a place where newcomers feel welcome, the teaching is relevant to our everyday lives, and the youth ministry is exciting. We are located at 134 Main Street South in the Bennett Square shopping center in Southbury. If you need directions, please give us a call at (203)267-5441. Childcare will be provided for babies through age 3 during the 9:00 AM service and our full Children’s Ministry program will be available for the 11:00 AM service.

If you visit us, you will find that our atmosphere is casual, so “come as you are” to celebrate with us this Easter season! We look forward to sharing the joy of the resurrection with you.

Calvary Chapel Southbury is excited to announce that they have been experiencing such growth to their congregation that they are now adding a second service on Sunday mornings to accommodate everyone who would like to attend. They would like to invite anyone who is looking for a church home to visit them, whether you are new to the area, just beginning a relationship with Jesus, thinking of returning to church after many years, or any other reason.

Calvary Chapel Southbury is a non-denominational church located at 134 Main Street South in the Bennett Square Shopping Center. The church began in 1998 as a home church with only two people. In time, the church had grown to the point that they needed their own space and moved to their current location, eventually taking over two adjacent storefronts and an additional space in the same shopping center for their Teen Center.

Calvary Chapel Southbury is an offshoot of the main Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, CA. Anyone is welcome to attend their services or participate in their activities, such as bowling for teens or movie nights for the whole family. Much of their focus is on family and missions-oriented activities. They want everyone who attends services with them to feel a part of something bigger than themselves.

Beginning on March 18, they will hold Sunday services at both 9:00 and 11:00 AM. Nursery care will be provided for babies to age 3 during the 9:00 service and the full children’s ministry program (through high school age) will be available during the 11:00 service. A Prayer Meeting is also held on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM, as well as a Bible Study and Youth Group on Thursdays at 7:00 PM. Come as you are – no special attire is required!

Early September 2011, after my trip from Mozambique, I conducted series of meetings with local leaders in Nsanje District and across Chikhwawa District. The aim of the meetings was to address the local leaders and influential people in the communities on the dangers of HIV and AIDs. It’s been statistically evident that some of cultural practices in such districts have a resistance of dying and are spreading the disease which puts a lot of youths at risk of orphanhood and perpetual poverty.
Home- cells are very instrumental in the development of a good Bible culture in the disciples of Christ. It also edifies in the life of Christianity. As you know Christianity is a journey which starts and moves until such a time when one gets to the Lord. In understanding how important is home-cells, I organized a number of them in different churches. At times I would call for a combined home-cell as shown in the photo. Ladies were so participative in wanting to understand the Bible.

During the session I also distributed Bibles to those who could read. The need to have such meetings in other areas is so great. I always pray that God should always open for me ways to take this even higher so that people know the Bible and Jesus.

Introduction : I, Wonderford Saliva would like to first express my profound appreciation for the Pastoral Support that is sent by Calvary. I would also like thank God for the provision of this stipend, which has been helpful in many ways –in my personal ministry and family upkeep. I would also like to thank God for the provision of Bibles last time.

Ministry: In the last quarter, I have been able to plant six(6) Churches in Ngabu and Chapananga Area. Tombondera, Kakoma and Dausi(Chapananga); Saopa, Bulaki and Kulima(Ngabu). The people in the areas I ministered were receptive to the Gospel. Many people who were backsliding re-committed their lives to Christ and also others received Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Apart from these new church plants, I have been able to strengthen other churches in the area at Nkathe and Mitondo(East Bank); Binya and John(Ngabu). In my next visit, I will be going to Chinangwa(Chikwawa) to revive one of our pioneer churches. People have invited me to go there and encourage them

Physical and Spiritual Needs: In these areas, I encountered a lot of people who are sick, orphans, the aged who have no one to look after them and also many people most likely have at least “one meal” a day due shortage of food. In my message from Jeremiah 29:11, I encouraged the people to “lift up their eyes” to God who has good plans for each one of them inspite of the challenges they were facing. I also pointed them to Christ, who is our sustainer. Another great need is the word of God – Bibles are still needed so that the people can study the word of God.

Challenges: One most critical challenge is mobility as I have to travel long distances from the main road. I pray for God’s provision so that I can be able to reach the most remote parts in many areas where I minister. Also there is looming hunger due to the delayed and erratic rainfall which will affect many people in the area. Pray also for the plight of orphans who need parental guidance and support for their basic needs.

Prayer Request: Pray that will be able to reach out to as people with the Gospel and that they may receive and dedicate their lives to Christ. Pray for Malawi as a nation as we are passing through harsh hardships due to financial, political, social spiral problems which are affecting the well-being of many people, particularly for those of us in the rural areas. Pray also for our political leaders so that they will be accountable.

Dear Supporters,

I would like to thank God through you for the support that you give me. This has brought positive fruits as we minister in different areas, including Mozambique. In the month of September (17-20) I was in Lulwe, down in Nsanje close to the Mozambique Border in Chief Chinzeti’s area. I preached from Exodus 8:20-25. At the end of preaching, an altar call was made where nine (9) people came forward to be prayed from the release ancestoral spirits and bondage. Also many people who are not strong in their faith came forward to give testimonies. I prayed for a strong grounding in the word. Pray for us as we have much more work to do.

Also in the same month (23-25) I visited Million areas in Malawi; Ndakana and Dzinila and in Mozambique. In these villages, I preached from Matt 27:45-55 and Ruth 1:1-19. My main thrust was to encourage the people to have their faith in Jesus and also whole heartedly commit their lives to Jesus as their Lord and personal Savior and also to emulate Ruth example who clang to Naomi, just as they too can cling to Jesus. In all these areas, people came forward with different prayer requests and I prayed for them. At Ndakana, there were twelve pastors from the area with their members and we spent the night together.

I would like also to specifically mention about the Bibles that you provide for our ministry as I have been able to give those who do not have Bibles and they have gladly received them with thanksgiving. Please continue supporting us both with Bibles and the Pastoral Ministry Support has been timely. This too cannot be over emphasized; it has helped in my Ministry and upkeep.

Prayer Points: Please continue to pray for us a family. Pray that the rains will be adequate. Pray for good health. Remember all the I Send Africa Team (Malawi) in your daily prayers as we encounter different challenges in our ministry and daily lives.

Your bondservant,

Duncan Genti

Dear Supporters,

Greeting to you all.

Now we want to inform you how the work of God is going on. It was on 1st to
3rd July 2011 we went to Mocambique (Chididi) where we ministered at
Gulumba’s area at a place called PHOKERA. By then we were with Zuze
Selemani, Peter, Maliford and the owner of the place (Gulumba). That time we
gathered with nine congregations with different denominations. During that
meeting we had a good gathering of people.

We had another meeting in the same country (Mocambique) at a place called
Boni (Postal Shire) across Shire river.

The meeting started on 23-25 September 2011, during that meeting the
commander in chief of the Army Soldiers received Jesus as his personal
saviour. On top of that we also recieved members who also accepted Jesus as
their Lord and saviour. Amongst those who recieved Jesus, 4 were women and 3
were men and 2 were teenagers.

During our all meetings we were teaching about how we can work together as a
team in God’s ministry as it is written in the book of acts 6.
With the teaching we had the commander written above has phoned us that we
should also arrange a trip for another meeting in the other side of his
area.

Lastly, we would like to thank God for the camera and the bibles given to us
through you and your team.

May God Bless You All,

Peter/Maliford
